Delivery Systems:

IMS offers generic pharmaceuticals in a variety of unique and cost effective delivery systems. Each delivery system has been designed with the patient and clinician in mind.

Many IMS products are based on the original Min-I-Jet^® design. The Min-I-Jet^® system is a two-part prefilled syringe with a standard needle. It is designed for the delivery of medication via the intramuscular, subcutaneous or intravenous route. Since its introduction, the Min-I-Jet^® system has been adapted to a variety of specially designed delivery systems.

The newest addition to our line of delivery systems is the Saf-T-Jet. Our patented engineered needle was inspired by the growing trend towards needleless technology. This new technology has been implemented in our Phytonadione products for new borns. In response to customer demand for a needleless prefilled emergency syringe, IMS also developed Luer-Jet^TM which provides the quality and reliability of the original Min-I-Jet^® with the safety of Luer-Lock administration.

The Min-I-Jet^® with Stick-Gard^TM is a Min-I-Jet^® with a Safety Needle that is surrounded by a guard. The guard provides protection against accidental needle sticks. This product was one of the first to offer a safety feature to prevent accidental needle sticks and has enabled thousands of healthcare providers to comply with OSHA safety requirements.

Other specialized systems include the Uro-Jet^® system - with an applicator designed to conform to the urethral tissue anatomy for the administration of local anesthesia, and the Laryng-O-Jet^® - a Min-I-Jet^® with a seven-inch, 360°, perforated plastic cannula designed for the administration of local anesthetic to the laryngotracheal area.

The Min-I-Jet^® with Flange is made for the administration of small quantities of medication. The special flange on the medication vial allows one handed aspiration prior to injection. The OB Kit and Control Syringe are Min-I-Jet^® syringes with double flanges on the injector and a thumb loop on the end of the medication vial. These extra features provide the clinician with the high degree of manual control required for the administration of local anesthesia.

The Dilute-A-Jet^TM is a prefilled syringe with a recessed needle that is surrounded by a rigid bell-shaped shield. The shield prevents direct injection of concentrated medication. The shield also prevents the needle from entering an injection port or injection tubing that has a "Y" site. This provides the highest measure of safety for medications that are not to be administered directly, but need to be diluted prior to direct intravenous injection.

The IMS PCA Syringe and Pump-Jet^® are prefilled syringes that are designed to be used with infusion pumps and in Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA). The PCA syringe and Pump-Jet fits various infusors and IMS continues to create innovative designs for several of the worlds largest Infusion Pump manufacturers.
